We’re excited to highlight Brigita Fody Landstrom, MHS, CPHQ, CAS, Director at SunHawk Consulting! Brigita brings 25 years of deep expertise spanning Medicare and Medicaid managed care, Community Health Center quality, and large healthcare system leadership. Her career has been defined by a commitment to population health and improving outcomes for communities – especially those traditionally marginalized or underserved.
Throughout her career, Brigita has driven measurable improvements across diverse healthcare settings. At Kaiser Permanente Washington, she played a key leadership role in regaining Medicare 5-STAR ratings, achieving P&L goals, and securing value-based reimbursements, while overseeing a department of more than 70 professionals and an $11M budget. At Community Health of Central Washington, she led value-based contracting strategies, advanced analytic dashboards, and quality initiatives that supported full value-based payments and strengthened relationships with state agencies and community partners. Earlier roles at Amerigroup Washington included elevating the health plan’s rating to “Commendable,” advancing HEDIS and STARS measurement, and collaborating on statewide data and community health initiatives.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Brigita has dedicated time to supporting rural health and human services, serving on the Board of the Washington Rural Health Association and as a Commissioner for Housing and Human Services in Chandler, Arizona. Her academic background includes a Master of Health Science in Maternal and Child Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, alongside research fellowships at Johns Hopkins and the National Institutes of Health. She also holds certifications in healthcare quality, process improvement, and behavioral health, further strengthening her ability to help clients improve outcomes across complex environments.
